2 cups all-purpose flour
1 cup sugar
1 tsp. vanilla
4 tbsp. baking powder
1/2 cup milk
1 can condensed milk
1 can evaporated milk
1 liter of milk (use 2% regular milk to keep adding to the milk mixture to desired sweetness and consistency).
Blend egg whites until fluffy and then add egg yolks, sugar, 1/2 cup milk, the sifted flour mixed with the baking powder and the vanilla at last. Grease cake pan to be used. Pour mixture into pan.
Bake at 350 degrees for 32-36 minutes if doubling the recipe and using two 8 inch round cake pans. Checking with toothpick until it comes out clean when inserting into center of cake is the best bet because of variety of ovens and cake pans to be used.
Meanwhile, blend condensed and evaporated milk adding the regular milk to preferred consistency and sweetness.
Once the cake is out of the oven and slightly cooled, poke holes all over the cake with a fork and then pour the milk mixture soaking completely. Use vanilla flavor frosting or another of choice. Refrigerate.
